At The Polkadot Platypus, we believe in giving back to our community.  We donate a portion of our proceeds to organizations that benefit Down syndrome awareness, research and education.  Currently, our organization of choice is the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia.   Down syndrome occurs in one out of every 733 live births.  Today, there are more opportunities than ever before for individuals with Down syndrome to develop their abilities, discover their talents and realize their dreams.  It is our hope that our support will help to ensure that all people with Down syndrome are provided the opportunity to achieve their full potential in all aspects of their lives.
