Jasper's room has two white walls and two blue smudgy-swirly walls painted by his less-than-Martha mother. He has a couple of masks that his dad carved and a painting by daddy also but they were there when his sister used the nursery, so it would be nice for him to have something of his own...

I am partial to the star or bird motifs and the robin's egg color.

Merry Christmas to you too!!

My first son's nursery was done in the theme of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The second son didn't have a nursery, as we just moved him in with his brother. :D

We just found out that this babe is most likely a girl. I was totally not expecting that and didn't have any nursery ideas in mind. lol

Happy Holidays
We are getting a new 'big boy' bed for my 3 year old son after the new year. His room is dark purple and we found a truck theme with all primary colors including purple. Hoping this will boy it up a little.

Great site! Thank you!

When I was pregnant with my son, I made a vow to him that I wouldnt limit his color selections to only blue! So now that he is 6 mths and we get ready to move him into his own room---I have the chocolate bedding from The Gap, and will use the greens to accent the room.

Happy Holidaze....or that's how it feels after the Christmas rush :-)

Gwennie's bedrooms is pretty interesting...before she was born we decided NO MORE PINK! After getting pink onesies to match her pink socks to match her pink bibs, we chose some yellow and greens. Her walls are a light green color. She's got a beautiful painting a friend did of the alphabet (which she entitled if Henri Rousseau painted the alphabet). Every letter is an animal, like the K with a Koala bear climbing near it. It's pretty amazing. Her bedding and rugs are yellow, blue and white (and ofcourse pink) flowers. I guess you can call it Gwennie's Animal and Flower Garden if it was a theme.

my 6yr old son's room is painted as if you were underwater with sharks. the ceiling looks like you can see the bright sun from above thru the water. there's hammerheads and other sharks painted darker, like shapes in the water.
My daughter's room is vintage toys and baby things with lilac and white; there's vintage baby dresses hanging up on wooden hangers.

My little guy has a loose train theme right now but I'm looking to change it in the year to come. My other son loves cars and thus we have a car room for him. Waiting to see what this guy is interested in. At the moment it is balls.

Happy Holidays!

Lana's room is decorated with white glossy Ikea furniture that is simple but girly. We painted the walls a soft avocado green and her ceiling lilac. Her windows are covered with long elegant purple drapes that appear to be being carried by birds and butterflies. Her bedding is a handmade quilt set with patches of lilac and white beautiful material trimed with lace. The walls have beautiful frames, shelves, and different size and shaped butterflies. On her second birthday I painted a dozen flowers on her walls.

I could go on, but you get the picture.

We're in an apt where we can't paint the walls, but when we move we plan to paint the walls a sage green and use mostly blue/brown/khaki accents. He sort of has a zoo theme going on...tons of stuffed animals, lions, gorillas, monkeys, elephants, bears, a rabbit, a frog, and a couple of sock monsters! Master J's Menagerie, we like to call it. :)
